Tips for planting Pure Clover blend:

This is a blend of straight, perennial and bi-annual, northern clovers, and is ideal for fields and trails alike. It will grow at least 4-5 years without reseeding.  Like our Wild Game Buffet, this pure clover blend takes into account, most planting and growing conditions. It is very winter hardy, and will grow just about anywhere.  Its seeding rate is 8-10 lbs. per acre.  This can be planted anytime thought the growing season, as long as there is enough moisture for germination.  You don't want to plant too late as new growth is more likely to freeze and kill.  This should be mowed 1 or 2 times per year, only mow down to 6-10 inches.  You probably won't need to mow the first year.  An extra option would be to frost seed brassicas into the clover.  Just be careful not to mow the tops of the brassicas, only mow the clover as low as the tops of the brassica.  You can also frost seed clover to establish a stand.
